Vinegar...smells bad, cleans great!

Vinegar...I remember watching some news show a few years back where Helouise (ie: Helpful HInts from Helouise - which I think was actually Helouise's daughter) took a cutting board to a laboratory and cleaned it with vinegar. The lab tech then tested it for bacteria, and 99.9% of the bacteria was gone! That's as good as bleach without all the caustic fumes etc...

Here's a few ways with which I use vinegar (aside from salad dressing)

Pour 1/4 cup vinegar to your dishwasher rinse cycle for streak free, sparkling dishes
50/50 vinegar & water solution will cut grease on stove tops
Wash windows with 50/50 vinegar, wipe with newspaper
Use 1/2 hot water 1/2 vinegar to clean no wax floors (Also hot water and 2 capfuls of rubbing alcohol works great)
A little vinegar straight on to a rag will make your faucets sparkle.
Get rid of odors (like after a big party) by placing a small saucer filled with vinegar in the room. By the next morning, it'll all be fresh and happy.
