The Guadalupe (Ode to our Old Pond)
We
love ponds. Ponds are good. At our first home, Doc built a pond
in our backyard. This was no plastic liner with rocks pond...This
was an exercise in tree stumps, lots of concrete, a 10 foot
waterfall, and a tile mosaic of the Guadalupe purchased in Mexico.
The pond was pivitol to many a party, so when we moved out here
and were incredibly homesick, I came up with a cocktail dubbed
the Guadalupe. Which has become quite the party favor in the
holler. Without further adieu, I give you for your own personal
consumption:

The formula for this refreshing
summer evening porch drink is 2 – 1 – 1 –
1
2 parts Guava juice
1 part pineapple juice
1 part Ginger Ale
1 part tequila
Serve over ice with a lemon or lime wedge.
